last week elisabeth got to "vote" at school. she also filled out a worksheet about what she would do if she was president. it went a little something like this:

her vice president would be lyla
she would let jude live in the white house with her
she would have a pet dolphin
and she would help our country by planting flowers everywhere. 

i couldn't help but smile at this. i love her pure heart and her sweetness. i laughed at the thought of my two brown eyed girls ruling our nation while their brother lived on the white house couch.

well, elisabeth my dear,  i think you can do whatever you set your heart and mind to /// and between you and me i think the world would be a much  better place with flowers everywhere. :)

p.s. jude don't be that brother.

well lyla girl,

you are 6 months old!.?!

we call you mrs. spoils because your spoiled rotten. you like to be held.all.day.long. i am not even exaggerating when i say that. if you are not asleep you are being held. sometimes you will play in the bouncy seat or jumper for a total of 5 minutes before you start fake crying and hold your hands up in the air for someone to pick you up. you immediately stop crying as soon as someone starts walking  in your direction... because you know your plan worked.

you are seriously the most happy baby!! you bring such joy. and your joy in contagious.

you look so much like elisabeth as a baby is makes me a little sad because it is a reminder of how quickly you will grow up. so i am going to soak up every moment and hold you 10 + hours out of the day because i know soon you will be grown and i will long for that little dark haired beauty who used to sit in my lap.

wow. what a lovely weekend. 

all 5 family members under the same roof  + much needed rain = pure bliss.

We relaxed, went to a birthday party, introduced our children to Superman...Mr. Reeves style....Lyla laughed and laughed at Elisabeth playing pee a boo with a dish towel...

&

Jude became interested in cowboys...he dressed up in a cowboy vest and carried his little guns around...this is quite a big deal considering he flat out refuses to play dress up and really doesn't play with toys...He only plays baseball, with the morons, rolling ball, or wanders around the house doing ... well whatever it is that Jude does all day long?

overall the weekend was a success.

well little miss is 4 months old! where did the time go?

Dear lyla,

I think we hit the jackpot in the baby department. You is so good and you hardly ever cry.

You do however like to be held 24/7 ... it is not such a bad gig holding you all day, your cute.

You have these cute little pink striped pajamas, dad says it looks like you broke out of pink prison.

Speaking of dad, you like to sit in his arms and watch the Cardinals and golf...He is very hopeful you will watch football with him this fall.

You love to laugh at Elisabeth, sometimes if you can't be held you cry... Elisabeth sings and you stop.

You don't laugh at Jude...ever...he tries but you must not think he is funny.

You are quickly learning the art of fashion, playing princess, making cookies, and sleeping through noise. Your also the first baby in our house who isn't scared of the vacuum. 

You have been sleeping through the night for 6 weeks now ... 9 pm to 8am.

You suck your 2 middle fingers ... like a rockstar...I have tried to take your fingers out and give you a pacifier instead...but you just spit the pacifier out and cram your fingers back in your mouth.

We love you so much little lady lovely locks.

What do you say Lyla girl...shall we... 

get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance?
