from the Gallery:
"EMILY AMY GALLERY is pleased to present Re-purposed: The Use of Everyday Materials in Contemporary Art featuring gallery artists Sara Cole, Will Corr, Clayton Santiago, and Sherry Williams. The concept of utilizing found objects and ordinary household materials in contemporary art is not new. There is a strong lineage of artists, beginning with the Dadaists, who repurposed things never before considered 'art' and in turn gave them new life. By exploring media such as coffee, tar, sawdust, and rust, the participating artists express their ability to create seemingly traditional work with non-traditional materials."
