Pin it Wednesdays is a new feature we'll be doing weekly.
This week we've pinned a few kids rooms that we wish we'd grown up in. Great color, great storage, and so much imagination.
See a few favorite ideas that involve major construction to pull off a theme and a few easier ideas that make use of what you may already have around the house.
This is also a Link Party, so link up your blog posts with your favorite pins from Pinterest this week.
Please participate in the link party below. You can stick with the child bedrooms theme like us, or link to any Pinterest post on your blog with a home decorating theme.
{1} What kid wouldn't want their very own pirate ship playhouse in their bedroom?
{2} Got multiples? No problem. This is a great simple and inexpensive look to pull off using much of what the family had on hand. Repetition using pillows, red blankets, teddy bears and a chair at the foot of the bed give the room a cohesive look. Metal storage pails from IKEA at the end of the bed hide dirty laundry.
{3} A modern looking girls room. We pinned this one because the circles are so easy to do and you can't mess it up {just let the bottom circle dry before you paint on top of it}. There are even circular decals if you'd rather peel and stick than paint. Lots of variations and color options with this look.
{4} A very warm and gender neutral nursery. For lighting, you may want to invest in a beautiful chandelier - yes they can be appropriate even in a child's bedroom.
{5} All boy. With only minor adjustments, this navy and cream color scheme with industrial accents is a look that could last from a young boy's room through pre-teen and beyond.
{6} Here's a dreamy nook any child would want to curl up in and read a book. Great for sleepovers too!
Hope you enjoyed looking at a few kids rooms that inspire us. Get ready for next week's link party...on Wednesday February 22nd. Can't wait to start pinning later this week.
