With so many mismatched finishes and styles, they decided to get creative and repurpose the items.
The result was three projects that took less than 5 minutes and cost only a few dollars.
Here's how it all turned out...
Here is the before pile. Great bones, but the ladies had other ideas!
The mirrors were okay as is, but the ladies wanted colors with more impact. They masked the mirrors off, and spray painted the outer edges in some eye popping colors. If you're trying to duplicate this project, just look for a paint that adheres to metal and you're good to go.
And here they are drying outside (sorry we don't have a final, final picture). Just remove the tape and hang.
Chalkboard paint is super-simple to work with. For the chalkboards, just follow these three simple steps below
Here is the cute result.
For the third project, Heather painted some metal candlesticks and adhered the trays to create display stands / cake servers. A waterproof strong bonding glue like E6000 works well for a project like this. Just remember that everything is best when hand washed. If you paint the trays and are going to put food directly on them, just make sure your paint products or sealers are food-safe.
Thanks Heather & Lynn for sharing a few of your quick projects with us!
