Store to Abode Fridays #16 - Frenchy blue furniture

Today we're showcasing Frenchy blue furniture on Store to Abode Fridays.

These serene pieces are a great way to commit to a color, without going bright.

If you love to do-it-yourself, Marian has a few colors in her new milk paint line (available at the Lucketts Store in July) that lend themselves well to this look.

It's actually a picture of one of Marian's milk paint dressers that was my inspiration for this week.

How do I find something like this at Lucketts?    I snapped this photo back in March and this piece is gone.  But Jennifer, Amy, Suzanne, Marian, and Chad frequently hand paint pieces in similar finishes.  Look for dealer codes JDH, MOMO & MSI on the first floor, and CHD on the second floor to get your Frenchy blue furniture fix.

Here are a few other spaces that pay homage to the Frenchy blue/grey furniture pieces.

{1}  Mix and match in the same color family.  A beautiful rustic farmhouse table is perfectly paired with some darker blue chairs.

{2} This curvy settee with a pop of blue looks like such a nice place to curl up and read a book.

{3)   From the Pink Wallpaper blog ---- Check out the pairing of this antique chandelier with a striking blue armoire in the corner of this dining space - perfectly elegant and very French!

{4} Here's a closeup of some detail of a beautifully distressed French-style finish.  This look was achieved with blue and grey chalk paint on a gold mirror.  The Decorated House has the full tutorial for this project {here}.

{5}  This Frenchy blue dresser goes well with a palette of similar muted tones.  A calm and relaxing look for summer.

Shhhhh.....don't tell anyone but your favorite girlfriends...

On Saturday, June 30th, we are having a blowout sale at our Design House.

Have a great weekend everyone!
